Simple question, the action Start an email doesn´t start an email client in linux for example

Hi all, how are you?

I have an action Start an email that opens the email app in android without problems but in PC’s SO doesn’t, why is that and how can I solve it?

This is controlled by the browser. There needs to be a default “mailto” setting that needs set to the application to use for email composing. How depends on the browser you are using.

For example, in Google Chrome I had to go to the “Protocol Handlers” settings and remove an old email composer that was listed and then in Gmail I simply needed to tap the double diamon icon oin the address bar to add Gmail as the default composer.

It is not clear how I can add some other email composing application into Chrome. But a quick internet search should provde those details if you need them.

EDITED: Upon further reflection, Chrome can only open a web-based client as an email composer.
