Sharing Looker Studio Pro Team Workspaces with External Organizations

Hello Community,

We are using Looker Studio Pro with Team Workspaces and need to collaborate closely with members of an external organization (outside our Google Workspace domain).

We understand that we can share individual reports and data sources with external users, provided our Admin settings allow external sharing.

However, we specifically want to know:

  1. Is it possible to add users from a different organization/domain as members of our Looker Studio Pro Team Workspace?

In Looker Studio Pro, Team Workspaces membership is restricted to users within the same Google Workspace organization. You can share individual reports or data sources with external accounts if your Workspace admin allows external sharing under Admin Console > Apps > Google Workspace > Looker Studio > Sharing settings, but external users cannot be added as workspace members. For cross‑organization collaboration, the practical approach is to keep the workspace internal and share specific assets with the external team, granting viewer or editor access as needed. This ensures they can work on the reports without being part of your Team Workspace.
