Shared with me apps not visible in app selection

I have two accounts here, one to own the app and one to use the app. I have shared the app I created with the user account. The app was working fine under both accounts. Now the app doesn’t even appear in the user account. I have removed the permission and reinstated it a couple of time, but no luck. How do I fix this issue??

Hello @keith1, Please refer to the community discussion linked below to determine if the described scenario aligns with your current situation. I believe it provides the necessary clarification and guidance for your specific requirements. I hope it helps!

No, This does not solve the issue.

  • The app was shared with the user and worked for a while.
  • The appsheet app has been restarted, deleted and reinstalled, and run on a browser to no avail, It does not appear at all under the user log in.
  • The solution that is used in the attached article is refering to domain authorization through workspace and states the only way to have the app appear is to share in the pop-up, That has been done and still nothing.

How are you sharing the app? Simply by sending the link or are you adding the Shared Account to the Users list of the app - white listing the user in the app?

If you are white listing the user, then you must be logged into the account for that shared user. For example if you are using Google as the authentication service, then the shared user account must be the one logged into the Google app.

If your shared user is NOT white listed and you are simply sharing an app link, I am not 100% certain what is expected to show under the “Shared With Me” list. Conceivably, anyone getting the link to such an app configured this way can log into the app. There is no way for AppSheet to know who those users are ahead of time. Should AppSheet show the app in the “Shared With Me” list once a user has been properly authenticated? That is what I am not certain about.

Just for reference:

I’ve come across this before with different users… double check the basics. Assuming the user is using their phone double check that they are logged in with the correct email address, at the bottom of menu. We use Microsoft to verify users and the amount of times someone has logged with their gmail account, assured me over the phone they are logged in correctly only for me to remote onto their phone and see it is the wrong email address.

If the app is uninstalled and reinstalled, it can automatically log in with the wrong email.

If they are using a PC browser, ensure they aren’t going to appsheet.com and logging in via that. They must use a link to the shared app, be logged in with the correct email and then they should see all shared apps.
