Send a device notification without the Dismiss/Open popup?

Hi all - new to AppSheet but I’m excited about what I’ve found so far.

Just curious if there’s a way to send a device notification but suppress or not trigger the Dismiss/Open popup that results after clicking on the notification (I’m in iOS).

I tried to clear the DeepLink field on my action, but AppSheet just fills it in with the default to go to the app. iOS takes me to the app anyway, so the popup seems redundant.

Thanks!

Billy

What “pop-up” are you talking about?

The iOS notification happens (ie. scrolls down as a banner from the top of the screen), and I push it. Pushing it takes me to the app itself, at which point there is a modal dialog displayed with the text of the notification itself, with two options: Dismiss or Open.

Dismiss leaves me in the app where I previously was, and open follows whatever I specified in the DeepLink.

I am referring to that modal dialog/popup in the app (with the Dismiss/Open choices), which I don’t want. I just want the notification, but not to be presented with a popup within the app.

Let me know if that’s not clear and I can send a screenshot of it. Thanks!

Please post a screenshot.

Sorry for the delay. Please see link below - I’ve been having trouble attaching it so I put it at the link below.

It’s just an app I’m messing around with to test, showing the pop up (this screen is right after I pushed the iOS notification. Thanks!

This is not something I’ve had to deal with, so I can only speculate.

I doubt you can change the behavior, but if you can then it’s all in the configuration of the Automation and actions. How are they configured? Screenshots, please.

I doubted it as well, but thought I would check. See below link for the configuration screenshot.

Thanks for the help - very appreciated!

Note that clearing the deeplink field doesn’t solve it - AppSheet autopopulates with a linktoapp entry. Thanks again!

I think this is either from iOS or the AppSheet iOS App instead of something you could change
