Searching Addresses in Map VIews

Searching for street addresses while in map views does not seem to work for any of my apps. If an address (or anything like a point of interest) is not in the data set the map is set to, no results are returned. Is this expected behavior?

I would expect the search to first be conducted across the data set and then passed to the google maps API but this doesn’t seem to be the case?

@Michael yes, for now, the query will search only your table content (if it’s been marked as ‘Searchable’ in the column definition).

Has there been any movement on this? Your previous statement implies this may be a planned feature?
