Can I ask one of those questions that has puzzled me for a while now… why is there a search icon on the menu bar of a details view? I am sure there is a valid scenario for it but I just cannot figure it out. Hopefully someone will enlighten me and no doubt I will elarn something new as result. Thanks

Could you share one or two possible scenarios please? I feel like I am not aware of some functionality as clearly there is a reason it is there on the detail view. Thanks
I have clients that 1 detailed view has about 200 lines (crazy eh?). So this is plausible to adimit using search in this scenario.
I am more convinced that ever now that I am not understanding something blantently obvious. A detail view shows one record. The search (and filter) does not have anything to search. Does it relate to inline views within a detail view? I just tested this and it seems inconclusive. On a quick test app the inline view did follow the search but on another app it diod not appear to. The difference betwen the two is the latter is using a slice. Hmmm
I agree with you 100%. But, people needs are hard to understand, mainly clients. So I just get it done.
