scorecard doesn't respond to date range selector

I have connected data through bigquery custom query.

This has multiple columns, one of which is a date column - event_date. This column is detected as type Date in Looker, and is also the only Date type in the selected dataset.

When I change the date in the date range selector, this is not filtered. The scorecard continues to show the total number, comparison data similarly doesn’t work.

When I plot a time series graph, this will work and changing the date range is reflected on this chart. When I drill down into a date by clicking on the time series graph, this is also reflected in the scorecard.

So it seems that only the date range selector and scorecard aren’t working together.

The scorecard is set to use the default date range - but even when I try to use custom date range, this also doesn’t change the total values.

There seems to be an issue with the data default date field, but I see no other way to change this or set this up in the data.

Has anyone seen a similar problem who can help.

In case anyone checks this - the issue was with toggling on dynamic dates in the data connection. This is misleading and caused issues with the ability to dynamically search.
