Requesting Help: No Response to GCP/Default Gemini API Project Suspension Appeal

11 days ago I received a notification that my Google Cloud Platform/Default Gemini API Project was suspended. I submitted an appeal on the day of the suspension but haven’t heard back. The appeal form was limited to 500 characters, however I have a more detailed root cause analysis and remediation.

Does anyone have advice on how long appeal responses usually take, how to check on the appeal’s status, or whether there’s a way to surface additional context for the reviewer? I’m committed to the ToS and making whatever changes are necessary to resolve the suspension.

Thank you very much in advance for any help or guidance anyone can provide. Happy to DM additional information (e.g. case number) if any staff can help check on this.

Hi. Did you manage to get any help on this? I also got the same issue also around the same time too.

Regards

Peter

We’re in the exact same situation. Google Cloud project suspended 10 days ago, appeal completely silent beyond the auto-acknowledgment. Our business is hurting badly.

The worst part: all our data is effectively held hostage. I trusted Firebase backups and the rest of the platform, but with API and UI access cut off I’m sitting on a 1-month-old local backup.
We’ll definitely reconsider how much we rely on Google going forward, single-vendor lock-in on critical infra now feels like a serious risk we didn’t price in.

One thing that did get a response: I filled out this form opened a fresh case and we got a reply within a few hours saying they’d review within 48 hours. That window closes this afternoon, so fingers crossed:

If anyone has tips on how to proceed I’d hugely appreciate it. We’re running out of runway fast.

Edit:

Found a plethora of posts discussing the issue of a very unsecure access change on old api keys.

Is anyone able to help or provide guidance? My appeal was provided more than 4 weeks ago and my support case more than 2 weeks ago but I have not received any response to the appeal.

Thanks so much in advance if anyone is able to advise in any way.
