Request to Implement an Anti-Bot and Full AI Content Policy

Hello everyone,

Well, I’m not anti-AI at all when it’s used ethically but I have trouble accepting that people are posting a huge amount of text that is mostly wrong just to farm internet points.

I won’t publicly call out these people, as I think it’s obvious who is doing that, but I would like to be able to flag them for inspection, removal, and maybe account disabling.

This post is an echo to the one made by @Steve: AI bot in AppSheet Q&A

It’s a bit infuriating to have bot content when you spend time reading documentation, troubleshooting, and giving your best to help people. AI to help you fix your text to improve the content seems great but a big chunk of generated text seems terrible for the platform. Even worse when it’s multiple posts within minutes.

Maybe it’s just my opinion.

@LeoK - Thank you for your feedback. We do have guidelines around the use of Generative AI tools in our Community Guidelines, section 8.

If you see the misuse of genAI tools, please flag the post so that we can review it and have a conversation with the user.

We do attempt to catch the misuse of genAI tools, but we are the forums admins and moderators, not product experts, so assistance from our users to bring these posts to our attention is appreciated.

Thanks a lot @Michelle. I’m marking your reply as Answer since it’s obviously stated in the guideline. I’m just adding the following idea: Flagging for AI content in the report. Would be nice!

@LeoK - I will take that request to add a flag reason for AI content to the internal.
