Registro usuario unico por evento

Hola.

estoy creando un registro de asistencias de usuarios a eventos.

lo que necesito ayuda es que cada usuario solo se pueda registrar una unica vez por evento.
tengo tres tablas usuarios, eventos, registro.
si registro a un usuario en el evento lo puedo seguir registrando muchas veces, necesito que si ya se registro el usuario no vuelva a aparecer en la lista para registrarlos.
