We have a Google Cloud Project that belongs to our organization’s Workspace domain.
The original project owner account has been deleted, and the project no longer appears under any active user in the domain.
As Workspace administrators, we would like to regain access to the project or transfer ownership to an active admin account.
We can verify domain ownership and provide any required authorization.
Could you advise on the correct procedure, or which Google support channel should be contacted for project recovery in this scenario?
If you have Workspace Admin account, simply log in to console with this account, assign to this particular account Organization Administrator (roles/resourcemanager.organizationAdmin) role, and then you will be able to manage entire Organization. Ideally you should create dedicated Google Cloud Admin account at Workspace side, follow previously described steps with Workspace admin and grant such IAM role to DEDICATED account. Then, you should relog to newly created account and remove IAM permissions from Workspace Admin account.
