Hi everyone,
We wanted to highlight a few usability improvements that recently rolled out to the Looker IDE. These enhancements address the top pain points reported through our in-app feedback portal and conversations with LookML modelers. Thank you and please keep the feedback coming!
1. Line wrap & resizable panels
Check out the gif below! Left and right side panels can now be resized to fit your needs. LookML code also now wraps within the editor, making it easier to read long lines. You can toggle the line wrap mode in the new settings page described below.

2. New Settings Page
In addition to overall project configuration, the Settings tab of the IDE now has a section dedicated to your personal IDE preferences. This is where you can change the line wrap behavior or choose an editor emulation mode, which was relocated from the account settings page.
3. Persistent Layout
Looker now remembers the last used state of the IDE, such as which file you were viewing, which panels were open, and how they were arranged. This makes for a smoother experience when opening new tabs or reloading the page. If you ever need to reset the IDE layout, the option for that is in the Settings page described above.
For more information on these features, check out our docs for Setting up the Looker IDE .
