Rapid Entry on Phones and Tablet

Hello,

Is there a setting you can change to make the phone/tablet version of an app similar to the desktop app in the sense of a form submission, that when the form reopens after the auto-submit, it “re-highlights” the first entry box part, that way the user could just keep scanning. I have a tablet and phone with a Bluetooth reader, and it’s a little annoying to have to keep touching the entry part every time while on the desktop, you can just keep submitting after the first entry and not have to click the first entry box.

By “scanning” I assume you mean barcode scanning?

I don’t quite understand. The Desktop doesn’t support barcode scanning in AppSheet natively.

BUT…if I can read between the lines…I think you want to automatically open the barcode scanner on the phone each time the Form opens? If so, then you want to use the Auto Advance setting. This will automatically open the scanner IF the barcode field is the FIRST field on the Form AND is REQUIRED.
