I do a lot of migrations as part of my day job. With the upcoming changes announced, there is a lot of certainty, and at a quick glance, the newly announced billing threshold of 80M quota units per 24-hour period seems very low for Gmail API.
For example, it would only allow us to migrate 3.2M messages per day (each import methods uses 25 quota units), where we have observed sustained daily throughput that far exceed that (based on OAuth Log events in BigQuery)
We need to know the following ASAP.
- How much is it going to cost?
- Quota unit needs to be adjusted to per seat-count (large enterprise customers with thousands of licenses should have a larger quota than a smb customer with tens of seats).
