Hi everyone,
Has anyone recently gone through the Google OAuth app verification process and experienced issues with brand or logo review?
We submitted a verification request for a published Google Cloud project, but the review still appears to be blocked. The verification progress page shows that some items are still under review, and the branding-related checks seem to require additional clarification.
We would like to understand the general review expectations:
-
How does Google usually evaluate whether an app name, homepage, and logo are considered consistent enough for brand verification?
-
Does the homepage need to be a dedicated product page, or can a company homepage be accepted if the brand is clearly represented?
-
For the logo review, are there specific requirements beyond using a recognizable official logo?
-
How long does this type of review usually take after the required information is updated?
-
If the review team needs additional information, where is the request usually sent? Is it sent to the project owner, support email, or another contact configured in the Cloud project?
-
Are there common reasons why the verification progress page remains stuck even after updating the branding information?
We are trying to understand whether this is a normal review delay or whether there are specific branding requirements that we may still be missing.
Any general experience or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.
