HIPAA question:
I want to build a mental health svcs intake app, to let state govt social svcs caseworkers submit referrals on behalf of their clients for psychological evaluations. The app would allow data entry of mostly PHI data, including client name and contact info, psych eval report doc uploads, and other collateral doc uploads related to the case.
What should I do from the perspectives of authorization, Google Drive security, and data security, so as to not provoke the HIPAA gods? Is this even a use case AppSheet supports (with a Google BAA of course)?
I found this:
“Google explains in its “Terms and Conditions” that any HIPAA covered entity or business associate of a HIPAA covered entity that wishes to use G Suite in connection with any PHI, must enter into a BAA with Google before any of its services are used in connection with PHI.”
I recommend that you contact AppSheet about this:
