Project suspended for alleged crypto mining – fully locked out, appeal submitted, need help

Hi everyone,

I’m the owner of a Google Cloud project that was just suspended for allegedly “mining cryptocurrency,” and I’m completely locked out of the project, including logs, IAM, and Cloud Run. I’m hoping a Googler here can help get this in front of the right team.

The email says the project violated the Free Terms of Service by mining cryptocurrency. However, our application does not do any cryptocurrency mining at all. PoolParty is a web app for fan-driven live entertainment events (creator sports / concerts), using only standard web infrastructure.

I have already submitted an appeal via the console using the “Request an appeal” form on 12/8, this morning.

The main issues:

  1. The project is fully suspended, so I cannot see Audit Logs, IAM changes, Compute resources, billing, or any security settings to check for compromise or misconfiguration.
  2. We have never deployed any crypto-mining workloads. If there was some form of abuse or unauthorized use, I’d like to investigate and fix it, but I need some indication of what resource / product / time window triggered the flag.

I’m worried because the console warns that the project may be deleted if I don’t resolve this, but I don’t have enough information or access to do proper remediation.

**My request:
**
– Please help escalate my case / appeal to the appropriate Trust & Safety / abuse operations team, **or
**
– Share any specific details you can (resource IDs, timestamps, product names) so I can understand what triggered the crypto-mining classification and fix it.

I just need a path forward that doesn’t leave us permanently locked out of a project.

Thank you in advance for any help or guidance,

Carson White
