I am trying to create two separate Google Cloud projects for development and production Firebase environments.
My project quota increase request was denied because the review response said that I already have sufficient project quota available. However, immediately after receiving that response, both Cloud Resource Manager creation attempts still failed with:
The project cannot be created because you have exceeded your allotted project quota.
Current state:
- Four projects are ACTIVE.
- Two empty projects that were created by mistake are in DELETE_REQUESTED.
- Creating either intended project still returns the allotted-project-quota error.
- Neither intended project was created.
Is there a delay or discrepancy between the quota state used by Trust & Safety and the quota state enforced by Cloud Resource Manager? What is the correct way to have the account-level project quota state reconciled?
