Project quota exceeded warning even though support says there is enough quota

Hey

I am trying to activate compute engine for a new project and for that I have to select a billing account to link it to. When I try to do that it loads infinitly but the browser console displays an error with “Deferred loader failed: Error: Wb`pm_quota_exceeded_dialog”.

So i went to the health dashboard and followed the link there and was linked to https://console.cloud.google.com/billing/enable and tried to activate billing there for the project. There I got the following error:

I went and made a quoite increse request and got the following message after a review:

We have reviewed your request for additional quota. While evaluating quota requests, we consider several factors, including resources that are currently available. At this time it appears you already have sufficient project quota available. You can contact us again once you have used the current quota.

If you are having technical difficulties creating new projects, please reach out to the Google Cloud Platform community support at https://cloud.google.com/support/#community.

So anybody can tell me what I am doing wrong?
Support says you have enough quota, dashboard says quota is exceeded.

Hello @ZoeyG ,

Are you able to go to IAM & Admin → Quotas ( On Organization level ) → and check value for Service: Cloud Resource Manager API, Name: Project Count ? This will show you how many projects in total you have ( and also % of total usage).

cheers,

Hey Damian,

just checked the quota & system limits for the org level.

I have a lot of services listet but “cloud resource manager api” as shown in your screenshot is not one of them.
If I sort them alphabetically after “Cloud Natural Language API” the next one is
”Cloud Text-to-Speech API”

If I search for “projects” I can only find the following:
