Pop-ups

Hi!
Can I fix the window size for all users and is it possible to expand this window when viewed from a browser?

You can set less columns to show in your Column Order in your ux view set up.

You can also try the new desktop view. UX - options - Desktop mode (Preview). But, it is on beta mode.

Actually, its not even considered in Beta yet. It is preview only to assess what it might look like (once it is in Beta) AND to help test and provide feedback to help guide the implementation towards a live Beta version.

Do not use the Desktop Mode (preview) setting for any live apps.

EDITED: Actually re-reading this, you are asking about expanding the window and the header says “Pop-up”. I guess I don’t understand where you are seeing this view then. As far as I know there are no “pop-up” table views. You can switch to full-screen view from an Inline table or a Dashboard view but it still shows, as far as I know, as a normal view that take up the width of the browser window. To make it bigger, the browser window would need to be bigger.

AppSheet currently provides limited column sizing options for the initial presentation of the View.

Once a view is opened, users can adjust the column widths in the column header (if it is shown). The sad part is that the user adjusted widths do not stay once the app in closed.

As @diogolupcosta mentions, the best approach is to limit the view to only the needed columns. Additionally, place the most prominent columns to the left where they are more likely seen. A user can scroll to the right to see the other less important columns OR they can tap the row to see the Detail View of that row with all configured columns.

If I recall correctly this view is shown under a form view with an inline view (List column) so you click on the view button to show all records on that inline.

The answer is no, you can’t change the width.
I suggest what others already mentioned about changing the columns you want to display.
If you see some rows have repeated data you could consider them to be category headers (Group by) if you don’t want to lose that information but you want to save space this is a good idea.

PS: I tried this on the new Desktop Mode and found a bug, so no bother with that
