Orphaned Google Cloud Project Blocking Producer Portal Access – Needs Org Reassignment

Hello everyone,

I’m running into an issue where a Google-created project is currently in “No Organization” and is blocking access to my Producer Portal. The project details are:

  • Project Name: (PII Removed by Staff)

  • Project Number: (PII Removed by Staff)

  • Error Message: resourcemanager.projects.getIamPolicy permission denied

Because this project is outside of my organization (URL Removed by Staff), I cannot:

  • View or modify IAM

  • Assign roles to myself

  • Move the project to the organization

I’ve confirmed that I’m a Super Admin on my org, so the issue is strictly due to the project being orphaned. Standard documentation for moving projects doesn’t apply here.

What I’m looking for:

  • Guidance from Google or the community on how to re-parent this project to my organization

  • Alternatively, a way for a Google-level engineer to grant me temporary IAM access so I can move it

This is currently blocking active business operations, so any advice, links, or escalation tips would be greatly appreciated.
