OPDK VM Cloning

Hi,

I have a typical 5-node VM installation of OPDK 4.50. I would like to clone this environment into 5 new nodes through VMware Cloning or through the OVM tool. After the cloning I will change any IPs/hostnames to the correct values. My questions are;

  1. Is this solution tested before?
  2. Is there a tool to correct the list of IPs/hostnames after the cloning?
  3. Is this solution supported?

you are cloning for what purpose? to have other cloned deployment as separate DC?

Iā€™m not sure this is good approach, and to know if it is supported > open ticket

however, technically speaking, changing the IPs for all components should work, changing just the IPs on OS level will not be enough, zookeeper holds all old IPs so you need to change the IPs according to doc process (not sure what about RMPs etc). for me, it is easy to install new deployment, only if your purpose to save\clone the original data
