OAuth Verification stuck on Privacy Policy phase for over 6 weeks

Hi Google Cloud Community,

Our OAuth app verification has been stuck on the Privacy Policy requirements phase for over 6 weeks with no progress and no communication from the Trust and Safety team.

Current status:

  • Homepage requirements — Approved (Feb 27, 2026)

  • Branding guidelines — Approved (Feb 27, 2026)

  • Privacy Policy requirements — Under review (no updates)

  • App functionality — Pending

  • Appropriate data access — Pending

  • Request minimum scopes — Pending

Project ID: (PII Removed by Staff)

We have not received any email from the Trust and Safety team at our contact email on file, including checking spam folders. The verification progress screen only shows “The privacy policy requirements are currently under review” with no further details or next steps.

Could anyone from the Google team help escalate or advise on next steps?

Thank you.

Having the same issue OAuth app verification stuck on the Privacy Policy requirements

having the same issue, not recieved any email as well

Same issue, did it get resolved?

OAuth Verification - No Response After Addressing
All Issues (Customers Waiting)

Our OAuth verification for Gopher Security has been pending
with no response despite completing all required actions.

Timeline:

  • Initial submission: Early 2026
  • Mar 12: Google flagged excessive scopes (100+)
  • Apr 15: Resubmitted with scopes reduced to 36, updated
    justifications, demo video, test credentials
  • Apr 15-present: Privacy policy shows “under review”,
    no further communication

Completed actions:

  • Reduced from 100+ to 36 scopes (Gmail, Drive, Chat only)
  • Per-scope justifications in Cloud Console
  • Demo video uploaded and linked
  • Test account credentials shared via email thread
  • Replied to Trust & Safety email thread

Additional issue: Developer contact was changed in Console
but Trust & Safety emails still go to previous developer.
New contact is not receiving emails directly.

We have customers waiting for verified Google integrations.

Could someone confirm our submission is in the review
queue and update the contact email?

Having the same issue.

It’s stuck on the Privacy Policy requirements.

Still no update as of May 21. Privacy Policy requirements remain “under review” with no communication from the Trust and Safety team. We’re now past the 8-week mark. Bumping this in hopes of visibility.

Following up again. No emails received, no status change on the verification screen. Is there a known backlog for Privacy Policy review? Any guidance would be appreciated.

Same problem. I even did some Linked-In stalking of higher-level managers in Trust and Security, and emailed them directly. NO response.

Have they abandoned OAuth?

I’m seeing the same issue.

My OAuth verification has been stuck in the Privacy Policy review stage since April, with the last visible review on Apr 13, 2026. I have not received any follow-up email from the OAuth Verification / Trust & Safety team, including in spam.

Is there a known backlog for Privacy Policy review, and can someone from Google please confirm whether these reviews are still actively moving?

Thank you.

We have the same issue.

To those who sent the messages above, were your issues with Google verification resolved? How long did this process take you? Thank you!

Me to … any solution ?

I am experiencing the same blocker. But also having issues with homepage ownership verification, even though I am marked as the verified owner?

The account is the same on search console as the one being used for the Auth request. Any Advice?

How on earth do we escalate this as an issue?

same here, no clue how to push it further

I’m stuck in the same spot for 6 weeks now. With an increase in deployments because of AI, it sounds like they’re just backed up.

Same issue here. 6+ weeks since submission, Privacy Policy phase stuck “under review” with zero communication from Trust & Safety. No emails, no updates, nothing in spam.

Homepage and branding were approved within days. Privacy policy has been frozen ever since with no indication of what (if anything) needs to change.

I’ve verified every requirement on my end — live privacy policy, terms of service, single minimal scope, fully filled consent screen, app complete and tested. There’s nothing left for me to fix without feedback from the review team.

Adding my voice here because this is clearly not an isolated problem. When this many developers all report the same stall with no communication channel, it points to something systemic on the review side.

Can someone from Google confirm these submissions are actually progressing through a queue and not sitting in a dead state? Even a status update would go a long way.

Hi, I’m experiencing the same issue.

My OAuth app verification has been stuck on the Privacy Policy requirements phase for nearly 3 months with no communication from the Trust and Safety team.

Current status:

  • Homepage requirements — Approved (2026/05/20)
  • Branding guidelines — Approved (2026/05/20)
  • App functionality — Approved (2026/03/17)
  • Privacy Policy requirements — Under review (no updates)
  • Appropriate data access — Pending
  • Request minimum scopes — Pending

I have checked my spam folder and have not received any email from the Trust and Safety team. Could anyone from the Google team help escalate or advise on next steps?

Thank you.

Same issue here, adding our case to show the pattern.

Our OAuth verification for sensitive Google Calendar scopes (plus Google
Sign-In) has been stuck on the Privacy Policy phase for 5+ weeks (last
reviewer activity April 30), no communication from Trust & Safety, no
email to reply to (checked spam).

Same status as the original post: homepage, branding and app
functionality approved; privacy policy under review with no updates;
appropriate data access and minimum scopes pending.

Everything is complete on our side: demo video provided, privacy policy
live and publicly accessible on the same domain as the homepage, with the
Google API Limited Use disclosure.

App name: CiaoDott Backend. Project identifiers and client ID available
on request, happy to share with Google staff privately.

Could anyone from the Google team confirm these submissions are actually
moving through a queue? Requesting a status update or escalation. Thank you.

Adding another frustrated voice to the mix. 5 weeks in and stuck in waiting for Privacy Policy review. No emails, no progress.

And I’ll add another vote to what everyone else is asking. Can someone from the Google team just chime in and say “Nothing is broken, we’re just backlogged”

Same issue, did it get resolved?
