Hi Trust and Safety team,
My OAuth app has been sitting in the Verification Center with a “reply to the email thread” instruction, but I have never received any email from the Trust and Safety team to reply to (checked the developer contact inbox, spam, and promotions). I would appreciate guidance on how to proceed, since there is no thread to respond on.
Details:
- App name: Soft Send: Delay & Undo Send for Gmail
- Project number: (PII Removed by Staff)
- OAuth Client ID (last 6 chars): ocobai
- Verification type: Sensitive scope. The app requests a single scope,
gmail.compose. It does not use any restricted scopes and does not read the inbox. - Submission date: [confirm your exact submit date, e.g. approx. July 8, 2026]
- Current status: 4 of 5 checks passed (Homepage, App functionality, Branding guidelines, Request minimum scopes). The only remaining item was “Privacy policy requirements,” flagged for two reasons: (1) it did not state with whom Google user data is shared/transferred/disclosed, and (2) it did not specify data protection mechanisms for sensitive data.
- What I fixed: I updated the privacy policy to add a “Sharing, transfer, and disclosure” section (explicitly: data goes only to the Gmail API and, if Chrome Sync is on, the user’s own Chrome profile; no other third parties) and a “Data protection and security” section (HTTPS/TLS in transit, local-only storage, token handling, Manifest V3 CSP, data minimization), plus a Limited Use compliance statement. It is live at:
- I added new owner email (PII Removed by Staff)@gmail.com
- User impact: The extension is published on the Chrome Web Store and has real users. Because the app is unverified, every user hits the “Google hasn’t verified this app” screen during sign-in and the 100-user cap is in effect, which is blocking adoption. Notably, many new users install and then drop off at that warning.
Could you please advise how to trigger a re-review now that the privacy policy has been corrected, given that no email thread was ever opened on my end? I am happy to provide any additional details about the app, its scope usage, or the privacy policy.
Best regards,
