We need help with OAuth brand verification for DonanımHaber’s long-standing production Google Sign-In integration.
Configuration
- Google Cloud project name: (PII Removed by Staff)
- OAuth app name: (PII Removed by Staff)
- Authorized domain: (URL Removed by Staff)
- Domain ownership: verified in Google Search Console by the same Google account that is an Owner of the Cloud project in IAM
- Homepage: (URL Removed by Staff)
- Privacy policy: (URL Removed by Staff)
- Terms of service: (URL Removed by Staff)
- JavaScript origins: (URL Removed by Staff)
- Redirect URI: (URL Removed by Staff)
- The app requests only non-sensitive scopes; Verification Center says data-access verification is not required.
The project previously used (URL Removed by Staff), which no longer exists. All current branding and OAuth client settings have been updated to (URL Removed by Staff) and its subdomains.
Problem
When we click Verify branding, the page shows “Verification in progress” for up to five minutes, but then returns to “Your branding needs to be verified” with no issue details or actionable error. Cloud Console notifications show “Verify branding information” as completed, yet the branding status remains unverified.
We verified domain ownership, confirmed the IAM Owner role, restored and checked the production OAuth client, waited more than 24 hours without making any changes, and then retried once. The result was unchanged. We have also received no Google Trust & Safety email explaining a rejection.
Could a Google specialist please inspect the backend verification state or cached domain/app configuration and tell us why the branding verification is silently returning to the initial state? We can provide the project number privately to Google staff if needed.
