There’s an annoying bug where if I add an action to a workflow and select the action from the dropdown and save for the first time when I return to the workflow the action has been deselected and I have to set it again. Nothing major but it made me question my logic a bunch of times and I then changed expressions just to later notice the action has been deselected.

Have you checked the Info > Errors right after the save? Normally you can see the reason why it’s changed while saving.
yes there’s no error regarding the workflow and if I select the actions the second time everything works as expected and the actions stays selected when I save.
Would you please take a printscreen from that situation so I could be sure we are on the same page, thanks.
When I add a action for the first time to a workflow like the last one GetToSetCurrent_F.V and hit save when I return to the workflow it looks like this

And it didn’t explain anything from Info > Errors after the first save?
It sounds little weird. I will assign this to our developers if they could debug the reason.
