We would like to request a native badge or recognition feature in Google Chat that allows administrators to assign and manage badges for users (for example, recognition awards or role-based indicators).
Such a feature would help HR and leadership teams recognize employee achievements directly within Profile Pictures, improving visibility and engagement without requiring third-party applications.
Admin-controlled badges that are consistently visible across Chat interactions (such as in direct messages or user cards) would be especially valuable for small and mid-sized organizations that rely heavily on Google Workspace.
This enhancement would strengthen Google Chat as an internal collaboration and recognition platform while reducing dependency on external tools.
