MX Google Records - How long do they last in queue?

Hello,

I previously had MX pointing to google. The MX was removed for around 24 hours and we didn’t get any emails. We managed to fix it and started receiving some previous emails.

Is there a way to know if we lost emails? Estimate into how long emails will try to reach the target?

If you were supposed to receive emails and your MX records were not updated. The person who sent the emails should’ve received a bounce-back email. So, you won’t receive more emails
