Multiple Spreadsheet (Files) Vs Multiple Sheets

I am having slow sync speeds. Could someone advise me which is better:

  1. Having multiple spreadsheet files (I’m using google drive)
    OR
  2. Having the same spreadsheet then create different sheets within that file.

I believe option 2 is the most optimal.

I am curious if we move DB from google sheets to real database, what will be difference in sync time?
Anyone has idea?
