In the app editor, under Brand/Theme settings, there is only a single toggle that hides both the Menu (hamburger) button and the Search button together in the app’s top bar. There is no way to hide only one of them.
In my case, the Menu button is not useful for how my app is structured (users don’t need the side menu), but the Search button is genuinely important and used often. I would like to hide the Menu button while keeping Search visible, but the current setting does not allow separating the two.
I found other users asking the same question in the community forum, so this does not appear to be an isolated request.
Request: please add separate, independent toggles for the Menu button and the Search button, instead of combining them into a single control.

I researched AppSheet for a very long time, and after eliminating quite a few alternatives, I ended up here.
Before this, I tried building something on FileMaker/Claris. It’s a very well-established platform, but I had to leave it behind for a few reasons that didn’t work for me.
Right now, I’m both trying to manage my family’s farm and, at the same time, trying to fill the institutional gap in agriculture using AppSheet.
Whenever I can, I’ll try to share here the problems and gaps I come across.
