Metrics sent as integers from app appear as decimals in Looker Studio during morning hours

I am using Looker Studio to visualize data sent from a mobile app to Google Analytics.

In the app, the number of users is always sent to Google Analytics as an integer value.
However, when I check this metric in Looker Studio, I sometimes see decimal values (e.g., 12.4, 37.8), but only during the morning hours.
Later in the afternoon, the same metric is displayed correctly as an integer.

Key points:

  • The data source is Google Analytics (GA4).

  • The metric represents the number of app users.

  • The value sent from the app is always an integer.

  • Decimal values appear only in the morning; by afternoon, the values become integers.

  • This happens consistently every day.

If anyone has experienced something similar or knows the root cause, I would really appreciate your insights.
