@Fabian_Weller I see what you’re talking about now, and yes indeed if the slice order of columns is not being respected by the automatic ordering system, meaning when I do not physically set them myself and just let the system do whatever, but I have manually set the slice columns in a specific order, the order of columns from the slice should be the predominant ordering list.
IMHO the order of priority should be:
- Manual view column order
- Manual slice column order
- Table column order
I honestly feel that the automatic column reordering should go away, we as developers have control over the column order in the first place when we built the table… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’d like to comment on the use of Japanese, which I am happy to see. A long time ago, I proposed developing an official Japanese-language forum for this community. @pravse however, suggested that it was better not to segregate by language and for users to rely on Google translate and other services to overcome the language barrier. I completely understand that perspective but, at the time, I was worried that most speakers of Japanese would feel that they were somehow required to use English even if they were not comfortable with the language. And, I don’t think I was entirely wrong. I may have missed some other discussion that was conducted in Japanese or a mixture of Japanese and English but this is the first one I have noticed. By contrast, many Spanish-speaking users feel quite free to post in Spanish. Personally, I wish that more Japanese people would follow the lead of the Spanish speakers. As a courtesy to those who don’t read Japanese, it might be a good idea to use a translation service (AI, DeepL, Google translate, etc.) to make an English translation and then paste that to the end of the post. But, while adding such a translation makes reading the post easier for English-speakers, I don’t think it’s a necessity. Japanese speakers should feel free to use Japanese on this forum in the same way that users of other languages post in the language the feel most comfortable with.

日本語の使用を歓迎する者として、このコミュニティにおける日本語の使用について少しコメントしたいと思います。昔、公式な日本語フォーラムの設置を提案したことがあります。しかし、私の提案に対して、AppSheetの産みの親の@pravseは、言語に分かれて議論するのではなく、Google翻訳などのサービスを利用して言語の壁を乗り越えるべきだろうと答えてくれました。当時も、その視点にも一理あると思いながら、日本人の多くは「ここは英語の場なので英語を使わなきゃ」という心理的なプレッシャーを感じてしまうことを危惧していました。そして、案の定、その後、日本人のユーザーが徐々に増えてはきましたが、やはり、日本語での議論はほとんど起きていません。日本語だけ、または日本語と英語が混在した議論を見逃しているかもしれませんが、このスレードは、私の知る限り、このコミュニティーで最初に日本語で展開した議論ではないかと思います。対照的に、スペイン語を使用する多くのユーザーは、遠慮せずにスペイン語で投稿しますね。個人的には、より多くの日本人がスペイン語話者の先例にならってほしいと思います。日本語を読めない人への配慮として、翻訳サービス（AI、DeepL、Google翻訳など）を使用して英語訳を作成し、投稿の最後に貼り付けるのも良い考えかもしれませんが、そうする必要もないでしょう。日本語話者は、他の言語のユーザーと同じように、このフォーラムで堂々と自分の母語（日本語）を使用できるはずです。
