I use the map view with the view option “Minimum Cluster Size”.
In my app this option is set to 3 and this is in use since several years.
Actually I find this option not working as expected anymore. If I click on the number, it zooms in, but the number does not change. If I zoom in the number does never disappear.
Googlemap api call reduction probably. I did some research on this recently and it is a google map api thing when i wanted custom clustering in my app that i am migrating. My assumption is cost cutting… hopefully just a hiccup
I also saw this change in behaviour.
I guess the clusterization was some of the past of AppSheet BG (beforeGoogle) until it started being managed by maps API.
@chris60, first of all welcome back! are you still experiencing this issue? I am still asking about this but as @ktsmediaprod suggests, it might have been just a hiccup.
thanks for coming back to me. Unfortunately the situation remains as strange as before.
Example: I have a region with 5 points, clustered with a 5. That is ok.
If I zoom the region, I can see 4 points plus 1 point with an attached point with a number 5. This number 5 never disappears and nothing happens when clicking on this 5. Maybe this is intentional? But for me it is confusing because I never know how many points are now shown and how many are clustered.
If I zoom then in and out it happens that a second clustered number appears, so the total number of points is totally wrong now. I guess this behaviour can be simulated very easily.
