The problem with images with navigation options is the same, and it’s impossible to fix it with the “dynamic dimension” trick. Allowing buttons with a transparent background, or at least with a minimum opacity of 10%, is truly incredible. Our customers are very angry!

You can set the button’s opacity to 0% by adjusting the transparency in the custom color settings.

Any update please? I want mine to open in a new tab. I keep checking the option but it always reverts back to being unchecked. I’m writing this on a Friday, so you can imagine my weekend with this frustration.

Adding my voice here in the hopes of catching Google’s attention, this is a very problematic bug that is causing clients’ reports to perform poorly. This should be a basic functionality.

I have the same issue as everyone else. Set the link to open in the same tab - it works in Draft, but then as soon as it’s published it reverts to opening in a new tab, even though the settings show nothing has changed.

Keep up the good work and tenacity.

I found a workaround (accidentally) and I hope this works for everyone else as well.

  • set your preferred action of the button (open in a new tab / open in the same tab) then hit ‘apply’
  • keep the button component selected (do not click anywhere else - IMPORTANT)
  • go to looker homepage by clicking the looker icon on the upper left corner
  • wait for a few seconds then re-open the same report

Still hoping for a permanent fix.

Já achei. Infelizmente é muito limitado em questão de opções de design do botão (como deixar o fundo transparente), mas realmente dessa forma está funcionando corretamente.
