If you’re trying to find the duplicates in a list in AppSheet… you can’t.
- Period.
- End of line
- No more to say here
If you look in the community, there’s a lot of chatter, a few “solutions” - but let’s be real… the actual problem is the fact that there’s an automatic duplicate removal that happens.
We, the community, pointed this out YEARS ago - stressing the fact that, without the ability to find these duplicates… we can’t do logic correctly - yet it’s not been addressed.
Kinda feel like I’m wasting my time here nowadays. I mean, why deal with this when I can: “Hey little robot, make me an app that does crazy complex crap.” “Sure thing little human, here’s your app” Boom. Done. Moving on.
Meanwhile… AppSheet can’t even find duplicates.

Hopefully, some intrepid developer out there sees this and takes it upon themselves to create a new function:
- ExtractDuplicates()
Having a dedicated function for this would solve this problem.
