I noticed that, depending on window size, the UX editor evolves:
I would love to have the left pane permanently looking like the one on the right side screenshot, do anyone know if it’s possible to make it to stay this way ?
That would save significant room for middle and right part of the editor.

There is a third-party extension for that but I don’t use it personally.

It may be related to the dpi or something. I have opened the editor on Samsung Dex and it shows the collapsed view

Before this topic, it was just an extension that I saw months ago. Now I’m using it!

BTW, I’ll like to have an option to force on every table the “Show extended view” that shows the expression assistant. I saw someone asking for info about it. This new update + extended view shortened could be really good.

I received the update but it seems like it’s messing with the expression assistant option besides the Show_if, Editable_If, and others, when “expanded view” is activated
The perfect combination for me would be

Also, apart from the columns part, the “bubbles” (Updates to the expanding “bubble widgets” design coming soon) on the editor are behaving differently
See with the “Improved column editor” ON:
Now the same just with the “Improved column editor” OFF:
So ON takes the view that you clicked to the bottom of all the other ones and shows it narrowed, to the size of the content.
OFF (the default on AppSheet) the view is not moved and it’s as wide as possible

To your first point - I agree and I believe I can add something here to help with that.
To your second point - thats another item I’ve been working on that I forgot I had lumped into the improved column editor toggle. I often find myself wanting to edit two UX views, action, or other element side-by-side… One quick solution was to, when expanded, sort them to the bottom and fit their content:
This has been working well for my purposes but you may not see any benefit here depending on your resolution. I’ll break this into its own toggle and continue refining it.

It’s working great on my 1440p monitor, but I wasn’t able to see it because I always use the emulator on Tablet size
This should be fixed on next update.

On User Settings it’s a little bit messy right now.
Since there aren’t Key nor Labels…
