I'm french, this is a translate google "Hello, I'm new to appsheet, I want to create a table for tracking interviews with candidates. I managed to import a table and deploy the app. Besides, I still have a doubt about whether it's really free for personal use... Anyway, when I enter a new interview, I want to be able to type my notes directly, but the input field on the PC is really small (I put long text in the appropriate column), it gets a little bigger but doesn't even take up a 6th of my screen, it's a shame and suddenly becomes useless... thank you.
Here’s a suggested response in English:
Hi,
Regarding your question about the input text field for notes in AppSheet:
-
The LongText column type allows you to write multiline, longer notes. However, the input area on desktop is limited in size and cannot be manually expanded beyond AppSheet’s default. As a workaround, you can write your notes in an external editor and then paste them into the LongText field in AppSheet.
-
My recommendation: If you’d like better formatting and organization, you can set the LongText field to support Markdown. This way, you can highlight important parts, create lists, or separate sections visually. But if your goal is simply for users to write plain text notes (especially if they’re not familiar with Markdown), it’s better to keep the field as plain text for simplicity.

Regarding costs: AppSheet is free for personal use and small teams (less than 10 active users per app). If only you or a few people use the app, you won’t have to pay. For larger projects or business features, plans start from about $5 per user per month.
In summary, AppSheet has this visual limitation for text input, but you can make the field fit your needs, and you won’t have to pay if your project is personal or for a small group.

Most of the features you’re likely to use in a personal-use app are, in fact, free.
Unfortunately, there is no way to change the display size of an input field.
This is custom built service. You can try this.
ok thanks, all that's left is to buy a gigantic pc screen :) or find another solution, like airtable maybe..
