Is there a way to map key-value pairs in a table to top level dimensions and measure dynamically?
Our use case is that customers can define arbitrary attributes for their data in addition to the fixed columns we provide. The generic solution for this would be for the customer to pivot the key-value pairs in their visualizations. However, the experience level of the customer varies and the concept of pivoting data is too complex for many of them. They would like to see the key-value pairs appear as top level dimension and measures as if they were first class fields.
Does Looker plan to support this kind of use case or somehow make it easier to deal with such data?
