Dear colleagues,
I am experiencing a persistent and critical issue with the standard USER_EMAIL() function in Looker Studio. It consistently fails and returns the error: “Expected arguments, but none were provided.”
This error occurs even under the simplest possible test conditions:
- When USER_EMAIL() is the only content in a calculated field.
- The issue persists across all my Looker Studio reports, including when I create a brand new report and connect it to a brand new, simple Google Sheet data source (e.g., a sheet with only one header and one row of data).
- I have meticulously checked and confirmed that there is no field named USER_EMAIL (or any exact variant) in my test Google Sheet data sources that could be causing a direct name conflict with the function.
Could you please suggest any solutions to this issue I am encountering with the USER_EMAIL() function, and the produce “Expected arguments, but none were provided” error?
Thank you in advance!
Kind Regards,
