Issue with Incorrect "Date" Metric in YouTube Connector

Hi Looker Studio Community,

I’m encountering an issue with the “Date” metric while using the YouTube connector in Looker Studio. The reported dates for my videos seem to be inaccurate and do not align with the actual upload or analytics data.

For example, as seen in my report, videos uploaded much earlier are being displayed with a recent date (e.g., all videos are shown as “27 Nov. 2024”).

Could someone help me understand:

  1. Why the “Date” metric is showing incorrect information?
  2. How I can correct or troubleshoot this issue to ensure the dates accurately reflect the upload or analytics timeline?

Hi @Numarketing

You are probably using date as a dimension to summarize your data like views and total watch time and not using the date as a Date of Upload.

If there is a field like “uploaded at” or anything similar then try to use this field instead.
