Issue with data connection to the Excel file

I configured a data connection (Excel file) to create a report, but the next day Looker does not recognize the configured connection. To fix it, I have to upload the file again. Is there any parameter or specific setting to prevent the connection from being lost the next day?

I think this is still a persistent issue, this was also faced by @Jiyun_Lee. Replace the Excel data source with a google sheet will resolve it immediately.

In Looker Studio, file uploads like Excel are stored as temporary data sources unless linked to a persistent location. If the file is uploaded directly, it won’t auto-refresh and can expire, requiring re-upload. To avoid this, store the Excel file in a permanent source such as Google Sheets or Google Drive, then connect Looker Studio to that file via the Google Drive connector. This way, the connection remains intact and updates automatically when the source file changes.
