Is this a bug--AppSheet doesn't recognize input?

AppSheet seems to think I had typed in something different–is this a bug? Or is it indicative of something fundamentally wrong with the app?

Is ppl a slice? If so, make sure the slice includes the ppl_name column.

Also, the App formula expression for a column cannot refer to the list of values of the same column.

My mistake. I was trying to grab the value from a ref’ed column, typed the column name wrong. Thanks!

Is there a way to tell a column not to display itself if blank?
