Is it important to have PHP installed on On-Prem nodes? Is it ok to remove or upgrade?

Security scans have pointed out vulnerabilities with current version of PHP which should either be removed or upgraded. What effect would the removal have on On-Prem nodes?

If it’s important to have PHP installed, would it make a difference if it’s upgraded?

PHP is needed only for dev portal node/s. Nothing else in Apigee needs Apigee. If you find any other node having PHP feel free to remove it.

But for dev portal nodes removing PHP will basically shutdown your dev portal. On which node you found PHP?
