Intermittent issue: “Reset filters” button sometimes doesn’t clear dropdown filters in Looker Studio

Hi,

I’m experiencing inconsistent behavior with the “Reset filters” button in Looker Studio.

Setup

  • Report connected to a frequently updated Google Sheet.

  • Several dropdown filter controls (Project, Requester, Perimeter, etc.).

  • Custom button configured as: Report actions → Reset filters.

Expected

Clicking the button should clear all dropdown selections and return the table to its unfiltered state.

Actual behavior

The behavior is intermittent:

  • Sometimes the button works correctly.

  • Other times, some dropdown filters remain active and the table stays filtered.

  • It has worked for me, then failed for another user, and then stopped working for me as well — without any report changes.

What I checked

  • Recreated the Reset button.

  • Verified configuration (Report action → Reset filters).

  • Checked for default selections.

  • Checked for chart-level filters.

  • Tested in both Edit and View mode.

Is this a known limitation or instability related to Reset filters, filter controls, or frequently updated data sources?
