InFocus This Week: Google Skills Arcade February 2026

This week’s update is a big one—and a meaningful step forward in how the Google Skills Arcade feels, flows, and supports learning.

If you’ve ever felt the quiet pressure of “What’s the next level?” or “Am I ready to move up?”, this change is for you.

A simpler, more open way to play and learn.

We’re officially moving away from Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. Instead, the Google Skills Arcade is now level-agnostic, which means you choose your own path.

There’s no fixed order and no invisible ladder to climb. You can move forward based on your interests, comfort, and learning goals.

This shift is designed to create a more fair and stress-free learning experience. It also helps make participation more uniform across games, balancing capacity and reducing unnecessary pressure on specific challenges.

What’s changed?

Arcade November 2025 (1)

Arcade Adventure
Earlier Level 1, this track will focus on hands-on games that help you explore Google Cloud tools and concepts at your own pace.

Arcade Voyage
Earlier Level 2, these practice-focused challenges will help you strengthen and apply your cloud skills with growing confidence.

Arcade Trail
Earlier Level 3, this track will focus on AI skills, helping you understand and apply AI concepts and tools when you feel ready.

Arcade Sprint – Trivia
Earlier Trivia, these quick quizzes will help you refresh key concepts while earning Arcade Points.

Why this matters
Learning shouldn’t feel like a race or a checklist. With this new structure, you can choose challenges that genuinely interest you, revisit topics without feeling like you’re moving backward, and build skills in a way that feels natural and sustainable.

The Google Skills Arcade is now less about levels and more about learning momentum. Choose your path, play your way, and keep building skills that matter.

See you in the Cloud!

P.S. Along with these changes, you might have already seen new badge designs rolling out. We hope you like how they look and feel as you collect them.

How can earn points

Solid update :fire:

Removing levels simplifies the experience and puts learners in control. Clear tracks, less pressure, better focus on real skills. This is how learning should scale. Looking forward to building at my own pace.

This update is really refreshing! Even though the levels are still there in spirit with new names and visuals, the whole Arcade definitely feels more open and flexible now. I love the idea of exploring tracks based on interest rather than feeling pressured to move up.
Super excited to try out the new paths, especially Arcade Trail :eyes:
And the updated badge designs look so clean!:smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Hi,
I’m studying for a Google Cloud certification using Cloud Skills Boost, but some training labs show “unavailable” and I can’t start them (e.g. “BigQuery and Cloud SQL SQL Overview”).
Is this a temporary issue, or is there any restriction on my account or region?
If this is a support issue, could you please tell me where I should contact?
Thanks in advance.

This is a really thoughtful shift—from levels to learning momentum.

Appreciate how Google is making cloud and AI learning more accessible. Thanks for sharing this insight!

Can someone explain when and how can i get google goodies

I am new to Google Cloud Arcade games. What things do I need to learn before playing these games? (Suggest me learning paths on Google SkillBoost.) And after that, what is the correct order to complete games of Google Arcade that month?
