I have a show type column, the category is image and the content is a URL for the image from the same folder as App spreadsheet but its not showing. How do you guys handle this situation?

Your link should be a direct link, and the file need to be shared to everyone (right click in your drive, share > everyone with the link). You can generate one using : https://sites.google.com/site/gdocs2direct/
Note that the display of images stored in Drive will cease to work starting May
I suggest you to use imgur to store your images so that you won’t encounter that issue in a few months.
Just upload your images in imgur :
Then open the image in a new page and copy the link, the format should be like this : Imgur: The magic of the Internet (example : Imgur: The magic of the Internet )

The same happens if you use local storage, within the app, image files are not recognized.
