How to populate Google Sheet (and appsheet) with list of files in a Google Drive Folder ?

Hello ,

I need to create a table in appsheet that will list all the files from one of my Google Drive Folders . So I would need all the files from the google drive Folder to automatically list in this Google Sheet which acts as the database for this appsheet Table.

It should list the File Name and the Link of the file that I can share directly from the table without going to the Google Drive.

Further, in the second phase I would also if possible add a column to add email(s) of the person I want to share the file with.

You could write an App Script to parse the folder and output all filenames to a sheet.

Or have you tried to use a “folder” / “collection of files” option?

I am not much familiar with app script. I just happened to find this

But whenever I try to open the Apps SCript from my Google Sheet, I get this
