How to Improve Website Performance for Google Standards

Hello Developers,

I’m currently working on optimizing a website to improve speed, mobile responsiveness and overall compliance with Google’s performance guidelines. While I’ve implemented structured data and reduced unused scripts, I still notice fluctuations in Core Web Vitals when testing across different tools.

Has anyone faced similar challenges and what strategies or tools did you find most effective in achieving consistent results?

For reference, here’s a website I’m currently working on: https://mycompanysite.com/services/website-design/

Any advice would be really helpful.

I’m a bit confused here, are you referring to website performance optimization, or backend data-fetch optimization linked to BigQuery?

Hi there, @JamesAvery

Great question! As I am currently optimizing our research platform, Whitecyber Data Science Lab, I’ve found that focusing on Core Web Vitals is non-negotiable for meeting Google’s standards.

Beyond just speed, I am also looking into how structured data (Schema Markup) and content integrity play a role in how Google’s algorithms perceive a site’s authority. For academic and research-heavy sites, balancing high-quality assets with fast loading times is quite a challenge.

One tip that worked for us was prioritizing LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) by optimizing our hero images and using a global CDN. Looking forward to hearing more technical tips from the experts here!
