Hi all. One of my targets this year is to develop a script that automatically creates a demo version of any view that powers a dashboard in our Production environment. Has anyone done anything like this yet?
The goal is to automatically create a demo table–with the same structure as the original table–in a designated GBQ dataset, and then apply logic to the Looker view that points to the new demo table when the demo client’s user attribute value is being used. I know how to do those things manually, but am wondering if anyone has ever automated any part of that process before. I don’t want to be too narrow in my criteria, so I’ll leave it there, but am happy to provide more details as asked. Thanks!
