How do I add a view in the App Menu (from the left) rather than the bottom?

I know I did this before.

I just can’t figure out how to do it now. If I click on “New View”, it will only ever add a view in the Primary Views, which will then be accessible from the menu at the bottom of the app. But… I actually want to add a view reachable from the left hand side menu.

I know I did it before… which is even more frustrating ;D
